Against a backdrop of increasing electricity prices, energy affordability has been an ongoing concern for many Australians. However, this report shows this is no longer the case for many households – a fact which could challenge prevailing orthodoxy about who is in poverty.

Researchers from UniSA undertook research to improve the sustainability of SA's farming families by delivering guidance on enhancing policy elements for safe and sustainable water storage in an important but often overlooked asset in SA's rural landscape - farm dams.
The following report presents the results of three phases of research that develops and tests a Water Equity Typology (WET) Model for South Australian to better understand decision making and behaviour of farmers with respect to their dams.
Colmar Brunton conducted 40 in-depth interviews with water consumers from across metropolitan and regional South Australia to document the particular issues arising for SA consumers from culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) backgrounds, in respect to the use, cost, quality and access to water in order to better understand, support and service their needs.
This project was funded under the Consumer Advocacy Research Fund (CARF).
