This Fact Sheet summarises the 2024 Productivity Commission Report on Government Services data on the different streams of child protection expenditure. It shows that SA is out of step with other states and territories in that we have the lowest proportion of expenditure going to preventive programs. Further, the proportion of expenditure going to tertiary care in SA is increasing.
