People at Risk in Emergencies Workshops

Monday, 13 May 2024 - 9:30am

SACOSS and Red Cross are working together to develop a People at Risk in Emergencies Framework for South Australia 2025-2029, funded under the Disaster Risk Reduction Grants Program by the Australian Government and South Australian Government.

Join us for a ‘Tomorrow Party’ with others who share a passion and shared responsibility for addressing the needs of people in our communities who may face other challenges in life that impact on their resilience and ability to prepare for, or respond to, climate extremes or disasters without additional support.

The ‘Tomorrow Party’ is a fun and engaging future story-making event, where we imagine what could be five years in the future. What would you like to see happening to build the resilience of, or supports for people most at risk in emergences in five years time? What will disaster preparation, response, recovery or resilience strengthening look like in 5 years? What resources will we use? Who will we be supporting or collaborating with? What principles or ways of working will guide us? Your vision will help us to develop the Framework to guide us to the best future possible.

We are hosting parties all around the state, so please register for the party that best suits you. We are inviting emergency management and government agencies, health and community service providers, local government and others to join us for any party-  click the location link below to register for your closest party.
