Concessions are discounts on essential services, provided by the South Australian Government, to support people living on low incomes to meet their basic needs. However, the concessions system creates poverty premiums and puts up barriers to access – stopping some people getting the concessions support they need.
Who are we?
The South Australian Council of Social Service (SACOSS) believes that a strong social services sector has a key role to play in creating fair and just communities. That’s why we’ve been fighting for justice, opportunity, and shared wealth for all South Australians – since 1946.
