SACOSS has long called for a portable long service scheme for the state’s community services sector. With the state government now moving to implement such a scheme, we are pleased to invite you to join us for a complimentary sector briefing. This briefing will:

consider the details of the proposed model (who is covered and how it will work),

provide input into SACOSS’ submission on the model, and
- consider next steps.
The government has released a discussion paper and draft bill, with plans to introduce the bill to parliament early in 2024 to establish the scheme from 1 January 2025.
