Submission to the Productivity Commission’s National Water Reform Issues Paper

SACOSS submission to the Productivity Commission Inquiry 2020 into progress with the reform of Australia's water resources sector. The Inquiry focuses on the progress of all Australian governments in achieving the objectives, outcomes and timelines anticipated under the Intergovernmental Agreement on a National Water Initiative (NWI). SACOSS' submissions provides comment to the Issues Paper, focusing on the fragmented roles and responsibility for water planning and management; transparency and accountability in pricing decisions; and
involvement of Indigenous Australians in water access planning and management, with reference to the new Landscape Act.
