Submission to the State Government Royal Commission on Child Protection. Following our critique of the narrowness of the draft Terms of Reference of the Commission, this submission argues for a broad view which sees that an effective child protection system should support families to thrive through measures that react meaningfully, flexibly and considerately to at-risk families and children, and should seek to diminish the wider societal drivers of abuse and neglect.
