Position Vacant: Events & Membership Coordinator

  • Start your New Year with an organisation that makes a difference
  • Permanent part-time role (0.6)

Want to organise events that make a difference in the world? Skilled in promoting membership growth, retention and engagement?

The South Australian Council of Social Service (SACOSS) is seeking an Events & Membership Coordinator who will lead the logistical organisation of a range of events designed to engage with our members and promote our advocacy and work on behalf of vulnerable and disadvantaged South Australians and the community sector that supports them.

The Events & Membership Coordinator reports to the Manager Corporate Services and will work with our policy and communications staff to plan and organise conferences, meetings, and other advocacy, member engagement or sector development activities. This will include helping to secure sponsorship of those events and of SACOSS in general. The growth of SACOSS membership and support through engagement, as well as the enhancement of membership processes and services, will be important aspects of this role.

A broad knowledge of issues confronting vulnerable and disadvantaged people, public policy frameworks and the community services sector will provide the right candidate with the relevant background to go alongside their event and membership experience. An ability to work in a small team and pick up other organisation and administrative tasks will also be required.

This is an ongoing, part-time role which is subject to available funding. Interested and keen to know more about the role?

See the Information Kit (which includes Position Description and Selection Criteria).
