Grants SA info session - 2nd session due to high demand

The Department for Communities and Social Inclusion is making it easier for community organisations to apply for one-off grants by bringing its grant programs together through one easy application.

Grants SA brings together approximately $3 million of one-off funding from:

  • Charitable and Social Welfare Fund
  • Multicultural Celebrating Diversity
  • Volunteer Training Grants
  • Volunteer Support Fund

Communities will benefit from simpler guidelines and reporting processes.

Eligible community organisations can apply for this funding to deliver programs, services and/or events that contribute to:

  • community needs
  • strong and inclusive communities
  • wellbeing and participation
  • skills and knowledge
  • cultural diversity
  • volunteering
  • disadvantaged young people, adults and families.

Grants will be distributed through three types of funding rounds:

  • Major grants of $20,001-$50,000 will be open twice a year
  • Medium grants of $5,001-$20,000 will be open four times a year
  • Minor grants of up to $5,000 will be open all year round and assessed at the end of each month.

Grants SA supports the South Australian Government’s commitment to promoting efficiencies and building partnerships with the community to reduce red tape.
