Community Sector, listen up to those who have lived it!

How do we know whether we are really providing a good community service or whether it’s just more paternalism? 

This event is an opportunity for community sector workers to hear bold insights from low income people about how we can improve our services and support their efforts to empower themselves.

Speakers:

  • Linda Tirado, blogger and author of ‘Hand to Mouth - Living in Bootstrap America’ Linda has been described by Huffington Post as "the woman who accidentally explained poverty to a nation";
  • Sarah Pinkie, Activist and Member Anti-Poverty Network SA;
  • Belinda Brown, Mental Health Coalition of South Australia;
  • David Winderlich, Uniting Communities.
