Strategic Planning

This one day course will provide an overview of what Strategic Planning is and how it can assist your organisation to set direction and remain focused into the future. The main driver in this course is to provide participants with practical skills to take back to their workplace.

Negotiation

This course will provide an understanding of various styles of negotiation, with a focus on principled negotiations. The afternoon session will focus on how to negotiate funding contracts within the community services sector. Practical examples will be used to improve the participants’ understanding of and skills in negotiations.

Activism

What is activism? How to plan and execute a strategy to gain traction on an issue of importance to you and/or your organization. This course will cover, individual and systemic advocacy, campaigning and influencing. This is a practically based course that will assist you to design and develop a strategy to influence change or raise awareness in the community.

Financial Planning

This course provides an overview of financial planning for the community sector and includes issues concerned with both short term project planning as well as longer term organisation financial plans. The focus is on practical application of financial planning principles for supervisors and managers.
