30 April 2013 - Greens Moving Amendments to Address SACOSS Concerns. April 2013 - Simple Changes Needed to Compulsory Third Party Insurance Scheme South Australian Government Pay Equity Update SACOSS AGM and elections The 65th Annual General Meeting will be held at 3pm on Monday 26 November at SACOSS, Marjorie Black House, 47 King William Road, Unley. Nominations are now open for election to the SACOSS Board, Policy Council and Chairperson, with a postal ballot for Board and Policy Council to be held prior to the AGM if required. (The Chair is elected by a joint meeting of Board and Policy Council after the AGM). Nominations close 9.30am on Monday 1 October. Anti-Poverty Week 2012 - "The Challenge" Barbara Garrett Scholarship SACOSS' Cost of Living Update for the June Quarter shows an easing of cost of living pressures for some pensioners, but increasing pressures on other welfare recipients and low income earners. That's the question being asked by the Public Interest Registry, a US based organisation currently managing the .ORG domain name space, who are proposing that a new domain name of .NGO be established for the exclusive use of community sector organisations worldwide. Darrell Burkley, President of CASE suggests, 'While we understand and support the need for US based organisations to work towards the same level of domain name integrity that we have in Australia, we do not believe adding new domain names is the best strategy to achieve that goal.'
