Public Transport to Destination Inclusion Tram Trams from the City to Glenelg leave frequently from West Terrace and run all the way through to Glenelg. Care must be taken to avoid boarding a tram that is only a City Shuttle, which will take you only as far as South Terrace. When catching a City-Glenelg Tram, alight at Stop 12: Morphett Road. This will drop you on the other side of Morphett Rd. from the venue. Cross Morphett Rd. at the pedestrian lights next to the tram line and enter the venue via the Members’ Car Park. When catching a Glenelg-City Tram, alight at Stop 12: Morphett Road, which will drop you just on the other side of the tram line from the venue. Simply cross the tram line at its intersection with Morphett Rd, and make your way into the venue via the Members’ Car Park. Bus Services There are a number of buses that will take you to the venue along various routes. The most common are those that travel along Anzac Highway between the City and Glenelg (finishing at Marion shopping centre) , while others run along Morphett Road. Anzac Highway Buses The following buses run along Anzac Highway between the City and Glenelg, and will drop you in the vicinity of the venue:
When catching any of these buses, alight at stop 15. This will place you on Anzac Highway on the correct side of Morphett Road. From City to Glenelg/Marion shopping centre buses, entry to the venue can be gained by crossing the race-day car park in between McDonalds and the Morphettville Junction venue, and entering through the race-day entrance, which will be signed. Then simply follow the signs to the registration desk. Morphett Road Buses While the majority of buses that service Allan Scott Park run along Anzac Highway, there is the alternative option of the J7, which runs between West Lakes shopping Centre and Flinders University. When catching the J7, alight at stop 16 on Morphett Road. This will drop you directly adjacent to (heading towards Flinders University) or across the road (heading towards West Lakes) from the venue. Pedestrian crossing lights can be found running parallel with the tram line. Simply enter the venue through the Members’ Car Park and follow the signs to the registration desk. |
